St Cuthbert's Dental Surgery

I called the practice over the weekend as I had a dental emergency, the message on the answer machine just said that the practice was closed, there was no advise of who to contact out of hours, so I had to make myself an appointment at a local BUPA practice where I received excellent service, f a cracked tooth which resulted in expensive root canal treatment. I then unfortunately had another dental emergency during a week day and called the practice thinking that they would be able to assist, as it was within working hours. I was told that if I had called earlier I could have had an appointment that day, but as I had called towards the end of the day I could either call 111 or wait 3 days. I would have hoped that I would have been triaged or had a call back rather than told to go elsewhere. As a result I will be leaving the practice and registering with BUPA who offer an out of hours service. I have been with the practice since I was at school but have been left no option since I was left stranded after 2 dental emergencies

Thank you to St. Cuthbert's Dental Team for a series of appointments giving a very satisfactory outcome. I felt relaxed,comfortable, pain free and was very well informed as to the the treatment involved. The final result has exceeded expectations. Thank you especially to my Dentist and the Dental assistant.

Extremely upset and unhappy with this dental practice, particularly with my two final appointments. Generally, our appointments had been "conveyer belt" style. But then when an oversight on their part caused me an emergency appointment and lasting effects (with the tooth area), the dentist had evaded proper explanation of the cause, along with rushing through the appointment at the end of the day. Never went back and would never recommend.

Friendly, helpful and professional. The work required was explained well before the treatment was started and Ryan caried out the work quickly and efficiently, finishing ahead of schedule but without rushing anything. Post the treatment, Ryan again explained well what he had done, showed me the pictures and the 3D model he took, and follow-on actions for me to follow.

I went to see Donna, the hygienist, and she was excellent. She explained everything clearly as she went along, which made the whole experience very reassuring. I would highly recommend her.

The service and organisation was, as usual, excellent. The Dental hygene service provided was also excellent. The staff concerned were very professional, friendly and it was a pleasure to visit.
