I had expressed a view before that I would not want to get a root canal treatment and would want to do everything to preserve the tooth hence I decided to do treatment for that particular tooth iny country. I was told that they cannot do any more treatments for me at all. After that I saw a different dentist at this practice that I was happy with and booked an appointment today and later on they cancelled itandp I was told that practice owner does not want me as a patient any more. To be honest since thince dental practice changed to Mannock Dental care all gone wrong. They used to have best dentists there, all of them gone since the change, that can tell a lot. And now I would not even want to be their patient even if it costed nothing. And also to note I have made a correct decision to treat that tooth back home as my tooth was preserved and no root canal treatment was done. There are other dentists who try to preserve teeth and not just earn money. I am sorry though that there are other good dentists in the practice.
Came across this practice whilst searching for an emergency appointment for my mum. Very fortunately managed to get a slot, she was prescribed antibiotics and booked in for a later date for an extraction on an nhs emergency basis which was helpful and caring. Friendly team from reception to dental professionals. We are now waiting to be registered.
Very disappointed with my experience at this practice. I was told I needed a filling and treatment for gum disease, including a deep root cleaning. I paid for the treatment, but the "deep root clean" lasted around three minutes and was carried out without any local anaesthetic, which left me questioning whether I received the treatment I had paid for. The next day, I sought a second opinion from a private dentist, who told me I do not have gum disease, do not need the filling I was advised to have, and that the tooth should simply be monitored. They also pointed out that there was still plaque on my teeth despite me having just paid for a deep root clean. I made a formal complaint to the practice but have been completely ignored. The lack of response is unacceptable. If I do not receive a refund, I will be taking the matter further. I would not recommend this practice based on my experience.
I went to Mannocks and was seen by Dr. Akash Brahmbhat as an emergency because I thought I had an abcess on my back tooth. I have a fear of Dentists but he was very patient and kind and sorted the problem and gave me good advice. The clinic is very spacious and clean, the receptionist was very polite and I was quickly seen. I wish all Dentists were this good.
This in no way reflects the actual dentist I saw, she was lovely. The receptionist was incredibly unhelpful and rude. If I wanted to go private not a problem but because I'm NHS she said 'that's the way it is' and so I will return in January for the same examination I had today. I had asked to set appointments to do the treatment as I was alerted to some severe problems but I must jump through the hoop of getting another examination and then setting appointments from there. I'm in excruciating pain, I can't eat or sleep right. The attitude of 'this is the way it is' is not accurate. The UK NHS is in trouble, especially with rude, non caring staff in receptionist positions like the one I met today. She refused to give her name. I will be formally reporting as well as reporting back to my national involvement with NHS panels. If you can ignore the rude receptionist (long dark curly hair), the dentist was great.
I called to get an emergency appointment as I had a bad toothache. I was told that they had no NHS emergency appointment left but could offer me a private appointment at the cost of £90. I called another dentist and was given an appointment that only cost me £27.99. It sounds like they are jus money grabbing. This is really appalling as I am registered with them. Not very happy!
Dr Chen was just wonderful in my tooth removal i was very nervous. Dr Chen explained everything and put me at ease , I have found a new dentist and am looking forward to visiting for other routine appointments. Thank you
