23998 Fantastic experience this weekend, they were brilliant with my little girl and running on time. Lovely welcome from the lady on reception. This is the third time we've been and have always felt very comfortable there. My daughter really actually doesn't mind going to the dentist now.

All staff friendly and welcoming either on arrival or over the phone. Clean surgery and big waiting area. Kids have always felt at ease and comfortable when visiting the dentist.

My girls have been going here for about a year now and all staff are polite and really kind. They all get a thorough check up we don’t feel rushed or pushed through quickly. Nothing is too much trouble and I would highly recommend this practice.

Unfortunately, another appointment cancelled by dental design studio that had been in the diary since before Christmas. This time due to the clinician in question wanting to take a couple of weeks of holiday during this period. Or as was stated in the cancellation letter "due to unforeseen circumstances"…not sure that classifies as unforeseen? Or as the saying goes, " Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part". However, don’t worry, I was offered another slot this Monday in the middle of the afternoon! Sorry, but it’s not possible to drop everything at work and rearrange my day to fit in with staff scheduling conflicts and holidays (this is why appointments are made months in advance). Just to add a little more colour to this, I was then spoken to in a rather condescending way and told (yes told) that I had been offered another slot and if I was unable to take it, then I will have to wait an additional 2 months for the next appointment! (I refer you to my previous point, that people actually have jobs and can’t just take the middle of the day off do a dentist appointment with a few days notice). In the end, regardless of whether it’s NHS or private, it’s still a paid for service and people should be treated as valued customers and not as inconveniences. We all have busy lives and deserve to take holiday when its need, however, you would think that if you are asked to book these appointments months in advance, then surely it is reasonable to expect staffing to be managed in a way that ensure these appointments can be appropriately covered? I do not think that is an unreasonable expectation for a paid service.
