Shirley Road Dental Practice

I have been one of those unfortunate people who experienced a lot of dental issues in my life and Arnim and his nurse have well looked after me and been so patient with my anxiety. I had an extraction and it was so quick and smooth. Great dentist surgery and the staff are so friendly - I can enjoy my holiday now

I have been a patient at this practice for many years, 10 years ago I'd have given in a 5. I want to make it clear that the clinical and reception staff are consistently professional, kind, and do their jobs well. However, my experience with the (new as of a few years now I believe, which might explain it) management of the practice has been deeply concerning. There have been ongoing issues with communication, organisation, and the handling of important information. On more than one occasion, incorrect information has been shared, which raises serious concerns about internal processes and oversight. From a patient perspective, this reflects poorly on how the practice is run at a management level. Professional standards should extend beyond clinical care to include accurate administration and accountable leadership, and in this regard, the practice has fallen short. Based on my experience, I would advise others to proceed with caution when choosing this practice.

On arrival I was greeted with a smile and a professional attitude from Megan, after being professionally treated by Astrid also with a big smile , then Rita at reception also with a very professional attitude completed a very satisfying trip to the dentist. I could highly recommend this practice for treatment.

I was greeted by a lovely dental nurse sorry but forgot her name. Spoke to Rita who is an absolute delight, seems happy in her job. The dentist was Dr Astrid who was full of knowledge,helpful , happy and had empathy. I had a check up, clean, x-ray and was given antibiotics. The dental Nurse was also lovely. I would recommend this practice.

I would 100% recommend this dentist and if you want to try and overcome your dental anxiety then this is the practice for you. I suffer with quite bad dental anxiety not helped by questionable treatment and poor advice in the past. I had a problem with a tooth and desperate for a second opinion I was fortunate enough to find Shirley Road Dental Surgery. From the start I was treated with respect, the problem with my tooth explained to me and they took the time to discuss the options. The treatment plan was very thorough and I am able to eat and smile again. My dentist Arnim and the dental nurse Renata have been real stars and helped me with my anxiety as well as treating my teeth. I have complete confidence in the staff at Shirley Road Dental Surgery. I don’t relish going to the dentist (does anyone?) but even after what some might consider invasive treatment, I have left the Surgery smiling and I don’t think you can give a higher recommendation of a dentist.

Andrew who was a wonderful dentist has retired. We did not enjoy our recent experience now he has left!

I saw Andrew this morning I have had to have a partial metal plate I am very happy with the service I received and the price I had to pay. My plate is very comfortable the best one yet. Andrew just makes you feel at ease such a nice man and very professional.
