Never been a fan of going to the dentist. As a child of the sixties I have some scary memories of dentists back then. But my recent experience at Seaham Smiles with dentist Kiska and nurse Jane was very good. I needed a filling and everything was explained thoroughly so I knew what to expect. I didn't have any pain or discomfort and got a little break when I needed to. As a retired nurse who is used to work banter it was clear that they were comfortable with each other and worked well as a team in a respectful professional way This promotes patient confidence. Im a nervous patient and met Kiska and Madie for the first time. Kiska made me feel at ease almost immediately with her warm smile and relaxing conversation. She kept me informed of what she was doing through the process. She also gave me information on how to keep up with my dental hygiene. I wouldnt hesitate to see this hygienist again.

My dental implants presented a complex case for Nigel, however he was more than up for the challenges he was faced with. Nigel is kind, compassionate, reassuring and very skilled at what he does. He guided me through every step of my dental work, explaining everything carefully and in terms I was able to understand. He alleviated my numerous fears and the end result is nothing short of amazing! Nigel is a credit to the dental profession, if you have any doubts or fears about going ahead with implants, he’s your man. All the staff I came into contact with at Seaham Smiles were lovely, I have no hesitation in highly recommending this dental practice 🫶🏻

Just had a hygiene appointment with Kate and Kiska. They were incredible (all the staff are wonderful) but they stood out for their openness and love for their work. They were very informative and had such interesting conversation. Came out of my appointment feeling lighter, happier and a little bit smarter!

Nigel, Ellie and the rest of the team are so focused and happy in their work together, producing a warm, relaxing atmosphere. The service was faultless. Equipment, administration expertise and knowledge of dentistry are of the highest standard. They are kind people too: the team put themselves out for me when I needed an earlier appointment. I can heartily recommend this practice.

Today was my first visit to Seaham Smiles. I was recommended to go here by several of my colleagues who all had positive experiences. I too, had a positive experience. I hadn’t been to the dentist since before lockdown, so was dreading what the dentist would tell me about the state of my teeth. I was aware that some of my teeth had decayed, and that some of my fillings had decayed and had fallen out. Extensive X-rays were taken as well as photos to show me the extent of decay , so I could visually see what teeth needed attention. I was given a typed record on cost and what needed attention. I had a rough idea on how much it would cost so wasn’t really surprised. I’d rather pay for treatment today than having to suffer dentures when I am old. The dentist was very transparent and very helpful. I would highly recommend this practice as everyone was very friendly and professional. I will review again after my treatment is complete.

I’m very happy with my dental apt at Seaham smiles. Dental hygienist Courtney and Maddie, were very thorough, offering me excellent advice to keep my teeth and gums healthy. Matt the dentist was as usual very professional and informative. Excellent customer service, very friendly and reassuring, which is great for me as I’m a very nervous dental customer due to previous bad experience at other dental practices. I would highly recommend. 😊
