Perfect Smile - Dentist in Richmond

I've been a patient at Perfect Smile since 2016, and my experience has been nothing but joy and deep gratitude. Every dentist I've seen here is a true professional. For the past year, I've been under the care of Dr. Yara she is exceptional: incredibly attentive, caring, and has truly golden hands. The reception team is always wonderful — they genuinely smile, find appointments quickly and efficiently, no matter what. The clinic itself is spotless, modern, and beautiful. When a toothache strikes, they always manage to fit me in the same day. Words can't fully express how thankful I am. If every place worked with this level of dedication and warmth, the world would definitely have more happy people.

I’ve been coming to this dental practice for nearly two years now, and I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough. Every single visit has been a great experience. The whole team are incredibly friendly and welcoming, from the front desk right through to the dentists. You’re made to feel at ease from the moment you walk in, which makes such a difference. The care and professionalism are outstanding. Everything is always clearly explained, and you never feel rushed or unsure about what’s happening. I always leave feeling well looked after and confident in the treatment I’ve received. It’s rare to find a place where you’ve never had a bad experience, but this is genuinely one of them. Such a lovely team and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I had a great experience with Heather. She recently did a couple of fillings and two crowns for me, and the whole process was handled with real professionalism and care. She explained everything clearly, made sure I was comfortable throughout, and the final results are excellent. The work feels natural and looks great. I really appreciate the attention to detail and the friendly, reassuring approach. I would definitely recommend Heather to anyone looking for a skilled and trustworthy dentist.

Great service -- and remarkably called late Friday to receive an emergency appointment first thing Monday morning. Was dealt with in a very efficient and friendly manner. Excellent service from reception through to being treated very well. I left feeling comfortable that I received the best possible service, and good advice for future necessary treatment. Everything was explained in an easy to understand way and clearly displayed in real time on a screen in the treatment room. Highly recommended!

My first visit to Perfect Smile Richmond, to see a Dentist ( for NHS fee paying) A warm welcome at reception. I had a very thorough examination, with complete visual inspection, multiple images taken of the inside of my mouth, to assist with explanations of the condition of my teeth and gums along with standard x-rays and a 360 x-ray. Clear and very detailed diagnosis and treatment options, both private and NHS were provided in a non- hurried way, so I was able to consider the choices. I will needed several further visits for work in the future but on today's experience I am happy to proceed with them.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The service is terrible, getting an appointment on the NHS as a patient is near to impossible. The receptionists are rude and off putting both over the phone and in person. It’s like they’re bothered if you ask a question or just by your presence. Just not competent at all. Wouldn’t recommend. I had a broken bracket from my internal braces so I thought I’d go here and get it fixed, they initially lied to me and told me come in and we can see if it is covered by the NHS. It was a ploy to get me to book. I booked and came in October. The receptionist very promptly said that it is not and it most definitely will require payment. Again - misinformation on their part. I stayed anyway and thought let me give it a chance since they have so many good reviews. The bracket they glued back on broke within about 2 months, I called them up to see if this broken bracket they were meant to fix would be fixed again since their work didn’t help. I was told no, you’ll have to pay again despite being given multiple reassurances at the appointment that if there’s any issues just come back and we’ll fix it, that it’s under a guarantee and to not worry. Now they’re touting this ‘your treatment plan says to get retainers’ - which was what the dentist was promoting me to get under their service. It’s all just about cash grabs and promotion of more services. They all lack competence right down to the reception staff. The dental room is also tiny and cramped. Awful awful awful. I will be going back to my original dentist (which I only didn’t go to initially because they were far from me). Would 100% not recommend. Just another cash grabbing invasilgn pushing dental office with rude receptionists.

It’s best to book with a dentist who has well-established reviews. Unfortunately, I booked with a dentist at this practice who had very few reviews at the time (something I didn’t check beforehand). He appeared both inexperienced and extremely heavy-handed in his treatment. I’ve never experienced lasting nerve or jaw pain from a composite filling before, but after my first treatment here I had pain for over a month, including sharp pain through my jaw when moving quickly. I received two fillings at this practice. Before proceeding with the second filling, I raised concerns about the pain from the first procedure, but I was reassured that it was likely a one-off issue. During the second composite filling, the dentist cut into the gum line. Despite rinsing with saline several times a day and maintaining good oral hygiene, the area became infected. I requested a second opinion from another dentist within the practice and was told this would be arranged. However, when I arrived, the appointment was with the original dentist again. 😐 After I sent before-and-after photos showing inflammation and gum recession around the affected area, I was told I would need to pay for another appointment. I eventually sought a second opinion from a different dental practice that I trust. The new dentist advised that it was likely the gum line had been cut during the procedure and that this should have been communicated to me, as most dentists would normally explain this to a patient. They also felt the inflammation should have been properly assessed by the original practice. I continue to have gum recession in that area, and the gum has not grown back. I’m concerned this may lead to further dental problems in the future.
