Carl Godfrey Dental Surgery

What is happening just lately at this dentist - 5th time ringing this morning and the phone has gone dead there end, some days the surgery is shut when it’s suppose to be open and my appts keeping getting cancelled! ….. phone just gone dead again there end.

My mum tried booking in a couple of years ago and they told her emergencies only, her tooth has broken and now they are saying because you have not been back to us for a while we have struck you off. My mum is 86 and being treated like a 2nd class citizen.

I have been fortunate to have had nearly 20 years of excellent support from the past and present dentists. I have never felt so safe and cared for. It is a difficult job for dentists, nurses and for reception. They need a better deal from the NHS. But I’m very happy and grateful for their support for myself and my family.

After a nasty accident causing broken & loose teeth Mr Godfrey & Team booked me emergency appointments, saw me regularly throughout treatment, went above & beyond and I couldn't have felt in better hands. Thank you. It meant the world!

My appointment has been cancelled yet again, I've waited 4 months and have now been told to call back in June. When making this appointment nobody told me my dentist had left. !....

Would give zero stars if possible. Called to book an appointment after lockdown and was rudely told they'd had to reduce their number of patients in order to deal with services post-Covid. So I was struck off without warning, leaving me without a dentist and wait lists in the area of up to 4 years! When I asked why no one informed me I was told "That would have been a courtesy...your dental health is your own responsibility". The worst customer service I have EVER experienced. I work in a hospital and this is no way to speak to patients or handle the backlog post-Covid.

I have been with Carl Godfrey for a number of years and have had first class treatment on every occasion. The staff are pleasant and very helpful .There is always a pleasant aura in the surgery which helps to reduce the usual anxiety when visiting a Dentist.
