The Endodontic Practice

I had a root canal treatment today with my consultation and 3d scan a few weeks prior. I’ve always been told root canal treatments are horrid but I had a positive experience. Lewis did the treatment with Jenny and they were both so kind and reassuring. Everything was explained really well and the treatment was affective and worked well, very pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend this practice.

I visited John Rhodes’ Endodontic Practice for the first time and found it a very relaxed and reassuring experience. I felt anxious about my root canal but had no need to be. His assistant was also very pleasant and efficient.

I was referred here by my regular dentist for root canal work on a very painful tooth. I was seen within a few weeks by Luis Ferrandez who carried out the work over two separate sessions. I subsequently returned for a couple of routine check-ups to make sure everything was settling down as expected. Sadly unexpectedly part of the tooth broke off a few months later whilst eating at home... however it was not an issue as Luis and the team took care of it within a few days... it's now as good as new! The whole process from beginning to end has been professional, caring and efficient. The friendly team... from the front of house ladies, to the caring dental nurses and ultra professional Luis has been exemplary. Thank you to everyone there. Best wishes, Steve Cotterill 😊

I could not have hoped for a better experience. From the initial call to book the appointment to the completion of the treatment I was so well treated. On the day the reception staff were very friendly, putting me at ease. Luis explained the procedure very clear, and did his upmost to make me feel comfortable. The anaesthetic was carefully administered. Throughout the whole procedure Luis checked in with me to make sure I was okay. After approximately two hours the treatment was complete with no pain. It is only a few days later, so far so good. Ever so slightly sore around the treated tooth, so much better than before the treatment. Thank you to all the staff that treated me.

I was booked in for a root canal retreatment with John Edward this week. The whole process from initial consultation to treatment was excellent and couldn’t recommend higher.

I had root canal treatment with Dr Rhodes this weekend and I could not have been happier with the whole process. It’s fair to say that I was terrified weeks before my appointment and worse on the day. However, I really don’t know why now! Dr Rhodes was amazing, I never felt a thing! I can only say to anyone worrying in the same way as me, is that you really don’t need to. The practice is very professional, clean and modern and you really feel at ease and know you are in good hands. I have another due to be done in a few weeks and at least now I relax and not dread the appointment. I really can’t thank the team enough.

I am extremely nervous of dentists and was very apprehensive of having my route canal treatment but it was better than I would have ever dared hope. Luis explained everything really well and numbed my gums (which none of my dentists has done before) before giving me the injections I was dreading. Result was that I didn't feel the injections at all. The treatment took over an hour but at no time did I feel worried and I barely felt any discomfort at all. By using an oral dam, the usual misery of feeling like I'm going to choke on all the water and detritus produced when having a filling was completely avoided. At the end, everything was explained again and I will have no worries if I ever need another route canal at this practice. Afterwards, I had no pain and only a little throbbing sensation which was no problem at all and needed no pain killers. Not cheap but highly recommended.
