I broke 3 teeth and needed crowns a couple of years ago when i found this practice - they are still perfect & strong. It's a relief to have a straight talking dentist you can trust. Reception you are just lovely people too and really cheered me up at my check up today, so, I wanted to give a genuinely well deserved if overdue review, to say thank you for being kind & helpful and in my experience, really good at what you do.
I had an appointment today to check my teeth. The dentist Leona and all the staff treated me with respect. Leona explained everything that was going to be done in simple terms. I thank them all so much.
Staff very friendly, new dentist Louis is professional and made my experience and my children’s relaxed.
I went to this dentist because i was registered with them for decades but i was no longer registered, they didn’t even ring me or sent me a letter to my home to tell me i was no longer registered with them, I told the receptionist Linda I was willing to pay privately because i needed emergency treatment with a very bad abscess in my tooth which is extremely painful i woke up on Saturday 23rd of August 2025 morning with this excruciating pain & swelling of my left side cheek a abscess can be very dangerous, if the abscess bursts this can give you sepsis & was completely refused by them for treatment, I wasn’t even giving any help by them in any human capacity to help find me any advice to seek help which I have added states by Northern Ireland they have a duty to direct the patient to an NHS dental service for emergency care, if you don't have a dentist, call the Health and Social Care Board (HSCB) to find local emergency dental services. I hope others will be aware not to go to them if you need emergency help because they showed me no compassion.
Went for a crown, first time it fell out, second time the dentist put so much filling in that I could no longer floss, I mean what kind of dentist leaves their patients with an inability to floss. Had to find another dentist to sort of this mistake as I no longer trusted this practice. 1/10 would not recommend.
I felt very fortunate to not only have been accepted as an NHS patient at Whiteabbey Dental Practice but also delighted to have received such outstanding care from all members of staff. I have paid two visits to this practice and on both occasions I was made to feel extremely welcome by the very friendly Receptionists and also Dr Mackinson. All in all, I enjoyed a pleasant, seamless experience made possible by such professional staff. A Dental Practice to be proud of!
This has been my dentist surgery for years. From phoning to make an appointment or having to get an emergency appointment, I have found the reception staff nothing more than exceptionally polite, professional, welcoming and a little humour thrown in as well. The dentistry team I found to be knowledgeable, reassuring, polite, informative and we're possible very willing to give me as a patient option's of treatment. The decor with in the practice has changed over the year's obviously, currently it's very clean, well lit and odour free. I have no intention of going anywhere else for dentistry needs in the near or distant future. Thank you to the whole team for a settling, warm and friendly experience on each and every visit. Mr B Hanson.
