Campbell and Gibson - Dental & Implant Practice - Musselburgh

After looking at a number of dental practices who offered implant procedures, I decided to go with James at Campbell and Gibson. James was recommended by a friend and it turned out to be a very good decision. Initially I was very apprehensive about going through the process but was pleasantly surprised how easy and straightforward the procedure was. When comparing it to previous dental treatment such as fillings, root treatment, crowns, abscesses then extractions, getting the implants was far easier. I got three implants and another crown put onto a neighbouring tooth, all on my lower arch. After a CT scan to check my jaw was suitable a laser was used to produce a model of my upper and lower jaws. This information was sent to the lab and a 3D printed model of my jaws and teeth was created as well as the new crowns for the implants. My new implants mean I have a full set of teeth on my lower arch jaw and eating has become a lot easier. As for cost, implants are expensive but Campbell & Gibson’s prices are competitive. Overall if I had realised how painless the procedure was going to be and how successful the outcome was, I would have had them done sooner.

I have been terrified of the dentist from a young age. Because of that I have avoided going my whole adult life, even when I have had problems. I had two cracked teeth and had been putting off booking an appointment with my previous dentist. When I eventually saw them I was told that both teeth needed to be removed and when I went in to get the teeth extracted I feel I was treated very poorly. I left the appointment upset, angry and still in agony with my broken teeth and no resolution to my problem, so I decided to look for another dentist. I found Campbell and Gibson online and after reading through their amazing reviews booked an appointment to see Rob. Rob couldn’t have been nicer, instantly putting me at ease. He sat and listened to me when I explained about my previous treatment and anxieties. I had the painful tooth extracted that day and did not feel a single thing! The other cracked tooth Rob managed to save and fix with a filling. He is the best dentist I’ve ever been treated by! I now have a dental plan set up to encourage me to go regularly. This is something I would never have done previously but because of the exemplary treatment at this dentist, I feel much better about going!

Past experiences at another dental practice had left me with anxiety and a lack of trust, so I hadn't been in years. When I registered with Campbell and Gibson I was very apprehensive and almost didn't go to my first appointment. However when I met Sally I felt some of my anxiety go. I didn't even have to tell her how anxious I felt, she could tell straight away and immediately started to make me feel at ease. I have had several treatments done now and Sally has helped me to overcome my anxiety at every appointment by explaining things in detail, and helping me with breathing excercises to keep me calm. All the staff are lovely and come across like they genuinely care about patients. I feel so much more confident about going to the dentist now.

Always had great service from Rob - but my hygienist appointment today was the best I’ve ever had. Kind, considerate and thorough - they carried out a brilliant clean while always checking that I was comfortable. A welcome change from previous experiences!

Really exemplary service from James and his team. I’ve had two implants in the last two years and can honestly say that their determination to leave their patient happy is second to none. Even when a niggling infection caused issues, James was, if anything, more concerned than me about getting it fixed. Outstanding professionalism and a genuinely caring attitude. Very, very highly recommended.

Very positive experience with Campbell & Gibson after a referral by my dentist in Haddington. James was very thorough & professional, explaining each process as he approached it, highlighting any possible problem areas that could have been encountered, and gave me advice, mostly regarding dental hygiene and what not to eat. The extraction was painless, and the fitting of the first set of implants only caused some mild discomfort. Second & third fittings went very smoothly & now I have very natural looking implants (top set only), which happily are nothing like Turkey Teeth. James kept me fully informed throughout the process, which I valued as I knew what to expect and had no nasty surprises. It was also convenient to have some of the treatment in Haddington as well as Musselburgh. I would thoroughly recommend Campbell & Gibson if anyone is considering dental implants.
