Hatfield Dental Centre

After moving to Hatfield in 2019, my family and I signed up with this dentist. We went to our appointment, and everything was fine. Luckily, we hadn't needed the dentist urgently until now (May 13, 2025), when I called. I was asked by the receptionist if I was registered with them. I replied yes, but it had been a while. In return, they told me that I would be treated as a private patient and have to pay. If I drive, Barnet is taking new NHS patients. It annoyed me because I am registered with them, and now they are basically kicking me off their list unless I pay. Avoid if you can and go elsewhere.

On behalf of my wife, Sunethra De Silva, I would like to share a few kind words about the dentist and assistant who attended to her on the 28th of May 2025 at 11:50 AM. The dentist—Dr. Patel, if I am not mistaken—was exceptionally kind and skilled, managing her needs with great care and professionalism. We are truly grateful for the service he provided, and I apologise for not having his full name at this time (I will update this note once I confirm it). A heartfelt thank you to the doctor and his assistant, as well as the rest of the staff at the centre. Been for several appointments at this dentist, twice for emergency appointments which were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Kept informed about the problem and treatment. Both time I have walked away feeling impressed with their services. Both my daughters have attended for their check ups and tooth extractions and their adult teeth were growing behind them. They came home with no complaints and had great experiences whenever they have visited. My husband also has had good experience and has been pleased with the treatment he has received.

I want to share my experience. The dentist and staffs I met in this practice are professional and considerate. He always check on you to make sure you are feeling OK during the visit. The receptionist are friendly, responsive and helpful when I called to enquiry of the tooth scan and reschedule of my appointment. You always get a reminder a day before the appointment, so that you won't miss it.

This dental practice will really make you feel at ease. The Reception staff are Brilliant and the Dentists there are excellent and really make you feel calm. I've never been a calm patient always very nervous but I am happy to say everyone there makes you feel safe and really look after you every step of the way. I would recommend to everyone.

I just wanted to share my experience with this dental surgery. When I went to the Dental Practice, all staff were very welcoming. They were professional in their work and with their health and safety - especially currently with Covid-19. The after care was outstanding also, with a phone call 2 days after for a follow up. I couldn’t recommend it enough!

Too deep of a filling. I arrived for a sensitive teeth, it had a cavity. After the filling it got more sensitive. After couple of weeks, I asked about it, apparently I need a root canal. I would have loved to learn the risk before going through with the procedure. I do not know, if the cavity was too deep and if it was inevitable. It didn't seem like that for me from the xray. I didn't even have a toothache. But there seems to be other similar reviews as well... so beware.
