I have been coming to see Sonny at Prestwood dental surgery for over thirty years. As they say, time flies when you’re having fun! Seriously, though, Sonny has been the best dentist I’ve ever had. I moved to Oxford 15 years ago, but still come over for my dental appointments with Sonny, which I think says it all! He is highly knowledgeable and skilled, which of course is essential, but he is also a really nice person. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a top notch dentist.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Sonny Handa for many years, and I can honestly say he is one of the most trustworthy and professional dentists I’ve come across. What really stands out is his integrity — he never takes shortcuts and always gives clear, honest advice. You feel confident that any recommendation he makes is genuinely in your best interest, rather than being driven by anything else. He takes the time to explain things properly and only suggests treatments that are truly appropriate for you. That level of care and thoughtfulness is quite rare. Even when I had Invisalign treatment done abroad, he was happy to check my progress and offer guidance, which I really appreciated. Overall, I have complete confidence in his judgement and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled dentist.

When my local dentist retired and I was seeing a different one at each visit, I decided to transfer to Prestwood Dental Health Centre where Dr Rajiv Bakrania came highly recommended. It was an excellent decision. and worth the hour long journey. Dr Bakrania is very thorough as well as very gentle with his treatments. You hardly feel the local anaesthetic injection when he is under taking the treatment. He goes out of his way to ensure that I’m comfortable during the treatment.He provides a clear explanation for the treatment and I feel very confident about his approach and decision making. I shall continue to travel the distance to see him.

I have been attending Prestwood Dental Health Centre for all my dental requirements for over 30 years. Sonny Handa is my main dentist and he is great, very friendly and professional and always up to date with the latest techniques. When I needed an implant Sonny referred me to Dilan Taylor (also at Prestwood DHC) and Dilan did a fantastic job with my implant, so good in fact that I went back for another when I lost another tooth. When you arrive at the centre you will be greeted by Sarah the delightful receptionist who is very friendly and always up for a quick chat. I can highly recommend the whole team.

Without a shadow of a doubt this is the best dental practice I've ever been too. From the warm and friendly team on the reception who remember everything about you, call you by name the second you enter the building and make you feel so relaxed to the dentists and their team who take their time, explain everything and really care, it's absolutely perfect. I've been registered here for nearly 3 years and I wish I'd moved to Prestwood decades ago because of the local people, businesses and establishments like this. I have infinite respect and genuine love for everyone who works here. As someone with serious anxiety they make me feel safe and cared for every single time and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Prestwood Dental is a credit to the village in every possible way and everyone registered here can be assured they are always looked after to the very highest of standards, every single time. Dr Rajiv Bakrania came highly recommended and having had some issues with my local dentist I decided to travel the distance of an hour’s journey to see him for my dental treatment. This was about 6 years ago; I was not disappointed and have been receiving regular treatment at Prestwood Dental surgery since then. Dr Bakrania as well as the rest of the team are all very knowledgeable, very thorough , professional and caring. The quality of dental treatment is amongst the best I have experienced . Last year, alas due to some complications from treatment at the previous dentist, I needed an extraction followed by an implant. This was carried by Dr Dilan Taylor who worked in close partnership with my regular dentist Dr Bakrania. Dr Taylor was very meticulous and left me feeling confident and reassured , the treatment was successfully completed despite the possibility of certain risks related to the medication I’m on I would wholeheartedly recommend the team and envisage continuing to travel the distance to receive the exemplary care offered by this dedicated team

I have brought my three children here for years and the service isn’t just professional but also personal. Dr Sonny is kind professional and all staff even at the reception are kind and understanding. They have been a great support in ensuring my children’s dental health is maintained. Overall; great advice, great service, great professionalism and great people. It’s very welcoming and I encourage all to ask for Dr Sonny when registering.
