Customer Reviews
NHS Dental Access Centre has a rating of 2.8 out of 5 based on over 60 reviews on Google
I was worried after seeing all the bad reviews but I had an amazing service. Rang at 9am on a Saturday an within 3 minutes I had a triage call back and an appointment for 11am 🙏
Can’t fault them. Kind and understanding when I rang for a emergency appointment due to infection of my gum surrounding the lower teeth, didn’t have any available spaces for that day but gave me advice to help elevate the pain, and said to call back the next day at 8.45 which I did and was given an appointment for that day. Again staff was kind understanding and never once made me feel like my problem didn’t matter. The reviews made me apprehensive about calling but very happy to say it was bad all.
I was extreme pain on a Saturday morning, my regular Dentist was closed due to Bank Holiday weekend, I telephoned this number at 9am, someone rang me back and 9.20am and gave me a 10am appointment and I was given an x-ray then antibiotics due to an infected tooth, excellent, quick service, thank you
Visited today after being in agony all of yesterday and last night. They got me in within hour of phoning them and we're quick and really friendly ! I.suffer with anxiety along side a phobia of needles. Had 2 teeth pulled out and I could not of asked for a better dentist and nurse !! Made me feel really relaxed and calm !
My husband was seen at 11.30 Sunday morning after phoning for advice at 9am. He was attended to promptly and efficiently, an X-ray was done, the dentist discussed performing a tooth extraction but as my husband had taken his normal medication (which included an anticoagulant) she decided against this. After carrying out emergency treatment to try and alleviate the pain she prescribed antibiotics and wrote a letter to his own dentist which he will hand deliver. Our praise and thanks to the dentist, nurse and receptionist for their care.
Was referred to here by NHS 111, called just after 9am and although quite a long wait to speak to someone on the phone once I was through the service was excellent. The nurse on the phone was really friendly and supportive, asking questions to understand what was wrong. At the end of the call she gave me an appointment for 11.45. She was really helpful in warning me that it was a local food festival and parking etc would therefore be tricky. Once again friendly, efficient service at the reception when I arrived and went in to see the dentist only slightly after my appointment time. The dentist and nurse were both lovely and although the procedure I needed wasn't pleasant they were reassuring, checking I was ok throughout. A bit of humour to keep me relaxed. Thank you Dr Rens for sorting things out. All in all a 5 star service, thank you.
This service is brilliant! I needed emergency dental assistance for a very painful tooth on a Sunday morning. I was triaged by a really kind and helpful receptionist and was seen within the hour. The dentist was gentle and thorough, took an X-ray and provided me with a prescription for antibiotics, as it was an abscess. I highly recommend this service and am very grateful to the staff and NHS for this facility. 😊
