I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel strongly enough about my experience to share this. I contacted the practice while feeling quite anxious about a dental concern and was hoping for a calm and reassuring response. Unfortunately, the interaction left me feeling upset and unsupported. The tone I experienced felt abrupt and lacking in empathy, and I came away from the conversation feeling dismissed rather than helped, despite having been with this practice for decades. In my experience, the communication from staff, particularly Sue, felt quite cold and unapproachable. I did not feel that my concerns or anxiety were handled with the level of understanding you would expect in a patient-facing healthcare setting. This is especially difficult when you are already feeling anxious. This impression has been reinforced over time, as previous interactions have also left me feeling uncomfortable, and I know others who have had similar experiences when expressing anxiety at the practice. I did not feel I was treated with basic compassion. A dental practice should be somewhere patients feel at ease, especially when they are already nervous. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. The overall impression is one of indifference rather than care, which is disappointing given how important patient experience is in healthcare settings.

My partner has been a patient at this practice for many years, and I have also had some dealings with them. What has been most concerning, however, is seeing how situations have been handled when someone is clearly feeling anxious. From what I have experienced personally, communication has come across as quite abrupt and not particularly reassuring. In addition to this, seeing the impact that interactions with the practice appeared to have on my partner have been difficult. They were left feeling very upset and unsupported at a time when they were already anxious about a dental issue. In my view, the approach from staff — particularly Sue — can feel distant and lacking in warmth. There does not always appear to be an effort to put patients at ease, which is especially important in a setting where anxiety is common. I appreciate that any practice can be busy, but the way patients are spoken to matters. Based on my experience and what I’ve observed, I did not feel that the level of care and understanding was what you would expect. For that reason, this has affected my confidence in the practice.

Brilliant service, every time I go, they explain everything with detail so I know exactly what’s happening during each appointment, which is great because before that, I’d been too nervous to visit a dentist, but the team helped settle my nerves the moment I got there. Thanks to Sue, Richard, Ellie and Louise for always greeting with smiley faces

As someone who gets nervous at the dentist, staff made me feel very comfortable. Very friendly and professional staff. Highly recommend

What an incredible experience. Sue was warm and welcoming to us both. My mums extremely nervous about attending dentist appointments, due to previous bad experiences in her youth. Richard put her at ease and was very supportive and professional. All in all a truly excellent practice, superb customer service and reasonable price. Thank you!

I hardly write reviews but i feel this is truly deserved, after spending years being afraid and not wanting to visit the dentist, i was in severe pain and was recommended by a friend to try them, i was reluctant at first but as soon as i made a call to them i knew i had made the write decision, the lady on the phone talked me through the whole process and made me completely at ease, the place has such a nice feel to it and for the first time in my life i can say i do not mind going to the dentist so thank you Richard,Sue and the team you do a great job...

Recently moved from a previous dentist practice and was the best decision I have made . Richard and his team are extremely caring,professional and friendly.
