I was referred here by my NHS dentist for the removal of a particularly difficult tooth, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care I received. Dr Shortiss is one of the kindest and most patient dentists I have come across in a long time. I am really self-conscious about my teeth as they’re not in the best condition, but she was completely non-judgemental, took the time to explain everything clearly, and made me feel at ease throughout the whole process. She not only supported me through the extraction itself but also suggested a bone graft to give me options for future treatments once the area has healed, which I really appreciated. The reception team were also really kind – every one I met was friendly and really helpful/informative. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone who needs a wee helping hand with their teeth. It’s a really lovely place (and I got a nice wee party bag after my procedure - it included a lip balm and an ice pack. Very handy!)

I can’t recommend Edinburgh Dental highly enough. Before I went there, my teeth were in a really bad state—so much so that my previous dentist actually suggested I find someone else, as they didn’t feel able to keep treating me long-term. I had a mix of broken, discoloured, worn down and missing teeth, which made eating difficult and meant I always kept my mouth closed when I smiled. Since then, the transformation has been amazing. Dr Aran Maxwell-Cox has restored almost all of my teeth using crowns or composite, and they now look and feel so much better. Dr Ferhan Ahmed has placed five implants to fill the gaps, and the whole implant process was surprisingly quick and smooth—just over an hour. One thing that really stood out to me was how comfortable everything has been. I was expecting a lot worse, but honestly the discomfort has been minimal. I’m nearly at the end of my treatment now (just waiting for the final crowns after having the implants placed last week), and the difference is incredible. I can eat properly again and actually feel confident about smiling. The whole team has been brilliant throughout—professional, reassuring, and really skilled. The work was carefully planned and expertly completed. I’m so glad I went to them and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone, especially if you’re dealing with more complex dental issues.

I visited this dental practice to have two wisdom teeth removed, with a separate appointment for each tooth. During the initial consultation, I received really helpful advice that walked me through the options and put me at ease. Both procedures were carried out very professionally, with care and consideration from Kelsey her team. I was also given a small take-home care package, which was a thoughtful touch. When I developed dry socket during my recovery, the practice booked me in for an emergency appointment free of charge. The treatment provided instant relief and got my recovery back on track. Overall, I had a very positive experience and would happily recommend this practice.

I had a wonderful experience at Edinburgh Dental. Ferhad and Kasia were both attentive, kind and extremely professional. I am absolutely over the moon with the new implants Ferhad organised. They were not "straight forward" to do but one would not have known. Ferhad was first-rate at exuding the easy-going charm of someone who was in charge of the whole procedure. Great experience from first consultation, telling me what they will do and answered any questions I had. They day of surgery went perfect. Everything done as expected. Sent home with a aftercare pack which is a nice touch. Would definitely recommend Edinburgh Dental.

The whole process for my treatment was carried out with the highest level of care and attention to detail. They made sure I understood the process which was complicated. My case was very complex but the whole team had the high level of expertise and clinical skills to help me. I'm so happy with my results and will be continuing my next phase of treatment with them. The whole team including Dr Duncan, Dr Ferhan, Becky, Kasia and everyone else on the team did their best to accommodate my needs. Wisdom tooth extraction. All went very well with my procedure. The staff were very friendly and professional. My dentist Kelsey did a great job! Explained everything very clearly and was reassuring. Would highly recommend this practice.
