Had to ring 111 for an emergency tooth extraction, which I don’t feel great about dentists. However when I went in I was met with a junior dentist named Sophie (sorry if the name is wrong), and she was fantastic, really clear, supportive and friendly. This made what is normally a daunting experience a really relaxing one, not sure if all of the juniors are similar, but she was excellent!
I had a student she was so lovely and made me feel calm during the whole appointment the first ever time I felt calm during a dentist appointment and she did everything so well thanks to her I’m not in any pain and my tooth is out❤️
I rang 111 this morning and got in straight away for a morning appointment.I saw a lovely man & a lady who made you feel relaxed. The lady gave lots of good advice & the gentleman was very good at taking my back tooth out.Pain free now which is lovely. The lady receptionist very nice and had a lovely chat with her.The gentleman downstairs on main entrance desk is always very friendly.Thankyou everyone
This is a 111 emergency dentist who try and get you well enough to gain an appointment with your own dentist. I was very lucky!! WOW, great service!! I was very lucky to be seen by a talented young South Asian lady. This was an emergency dentist and I had two problems, but they could only deal with one issue. She advised me and I took the best option for me. A tooth removal, baring in mind I had been trying to obtain an appointment with my dentist since April, not to go too deep into this but i can only do Mondays and Fridays. The problem has steadily worsened, well this lady told me the worse that could happen and then removed the tooth with ease. My only issue is the practice is an emergency NHS dentist only. I would surely love to have this lady as my dentist. Extremely professional while making feel at ease. Just fantastic service. Thank you to the full team at the practice🫶🙏🙏
Totally amazed at how kind, caring and compassionate they are. After having lots of trouble with a previous dentist, who has since been struck off, my teeth are most definitely not the best, neither is my view on dentists! I needed a tooth extraction, and they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable they whole time, explaining everything and checking I was OK the entire time. Thank you to the dentist and his dental nurse for being so professional, my only negative would be that they're emergency only, if they had a non emergency clinic life would be so much easier.
Absolutely pointless. Had an emergency appointment because of a broken tooth. They took an xray to check the root, besides they only do the minimum. They filled it temporarily and said it would only last a week or 2. I paid the emergency fee. The filling fell out the next morning, less than 24 hours. I phoned them and they told me I had to get back to 111. They dont care.
I recently saw Dr Prajesh, as an nhs 111 emergency patient. Whilst 111 did not inform me that I would be being treated by a medical student on this occasion (entirely on the onus of 111 and not The Flying Scotsman Centre), I was happy to proceed with my appointment. I am leaving this review in the hope that this is seen by Dr Prajesh and his peers. He was kind, attentive and incredibly thorough when considering both my dental concerns and my medical history. Dr Prajesh ensured that I was fully informed of all findings of the examination and also discussed the required treatment, using my x-rays as explanation. As a colleague who has worked within NHS England and dealt with professional standards concerns for years, I see issues with clinical practise on a daily basis. I however believe that credit should also be given where it is due. Dr Prajesh is an incredible addition to the NHS, and with dental students like Dr Prajesh working their way through the system, he is (and his peers alike) exactly what NHS dentistry needs. I would also like to comment on how lovely and helpful the staff on the dental reception at the Flying Scotsman Centre were. I was also provided with their direct telephone number as I had a query re payment and referral, to which they were more than happy to help me. Thank you all!
