Northgate Dental Practice - Cleckheaton

My appointment yesterday at Northgate Dental Practice was very good as usual. I am talking about reception and my dentist Alicha. Arriving at reception Katie was extremely helpful and professional. Someone in their wisdom had introduced a new system for signing in so I needed it explaining. Not only had this been introduced but I had spent hours the day before filling in two forms on line which had to be submitted before my appointment. This also applied to my husband. Reception and waiting area unfortunately had reverted back to the 'clinical look' after nearly three years of a beautiful friendly area with a vase of flowers and TV playing softly. Such a calming atmosphere. Whoever is responsible need to think again.

Professional service as always. It’s very rare these days that you can even get to see a NHS dentist, so really pleased that Northgate Dental Practice seem happy to keep their NHS patients. The premises are clean and hygienic and the staff are always very pleasant and put you at ease. Let’s face it nobody really likes going to the dentist, but NDP make it less daunting and explain everything to you clearly and in simple terms. Highly recommend

Receptionist was lovely over the phone, face to face one of them came across quite snobby, when it was time to pay for treatment she just looked at me and raised her eyebrows trying to ask me what I wanted.. verbal communication would have been more professional. Didn’t have to wait for long to see Farhana the dental nurse however she was rushing, did an x-ray of tooth, the positioning caused a lot of pain, said there is no issue with my tooth which I’ve been having on and off issues with for over 2 years now, gave me a quick clean, rushing & very rough, I understand cleaning procedure can be uncomfortable but this was very painful and the pain could have been minimised if she was a little more gentle and didn’t rush as much. Just got the job done and went, don’t really think it was worth the £27.40 for a quick 2 min clean. Won’t be revisiting again.

My rear molar filling had broken after many years of faithful service.I rang and the practice arranged a urgent appointment to see my dentist Farhana. The tooth was checked over redrilled and filled. Excellent can't fault the thorough professional service I received. Thank you

First visit today (just registed with them)for me and hubby Very polite reception staff. The dentist was a lovely person as was the dental nurse. The dentist was very thorough and explained everything. I'm quite nervous of the thoughts of attending the dentist but .the experience was ok. I was put at ease and felt comfortable whilst there

The Asian Guy in reception was absolutely outstanding, very polite and well organized. He was busy with 4 customers when I came out but not flustered and the same degree of enthusiasm for the role. This is Groundbreaking for Northgate as in the past people were met by somewhat miserable mature ladies who put up major barriers and caused confrontation where ever they could. The dentist was just OK, nothing special. THE 5 STARS IS FOR RECEPTION GUY TOP PERFORMER MATE WELL DONE!

I needed an emergency appointment, at first I was told it would be a week before I could come, but the receptionist rang back within an hour to offer me an appointment in an hour. Receptionist was friendly and my dentist was really calm and efficient- I'm a nervous visitor to the dentist and she was very confidence- inspiring!
