My daughter Summer had her braces removed in January and she was fitted with a retainer and this retainer has now snapped in half after only little use. Online it says the NHS will replace the retainer for no fee during the first 12 months as long as it can be shown to the practice. I rang the orthodontist and spoke to the receptionist who flat out refused to even hear what I had to say stating that I have to pay a £99.60 replacement fee for a further retainer. I stated that I cannot afford that in one go and can I pay it off in installments to which she replied no it has to be paid up front in full before they would even order a replacement... All in all not helpful and not going by NHS guidelines so be warned if your flimsy piece of plastic breaks be prepared to pay through the roof for a replacement!!
Excellent orthodontists - we saw Julia and Ella and they were fantastic. My daughter had her braces off today and they talked her through the process and she’s very happy. Thank you ! Highly recommend. 🙏
