Ormond Terrace Dental

Having been a patient of Michael Shipway - and before that his father - it was my first visit under a different dentist for over 65 years. I found this new experience a delight, very professional and certainly sorted out my dental issues very quickly. Very many thanks to Fiona for the painless experience. Robert Vines

Observations from recent experience. 1, The dentists at this practice are very professional and the treatment is very good. 2, Because Ana only works 2 days a week it is very difficult to get a one hour appointment. Appointments are squeezed in at the beginning and end of the day. I've had to wait nearly 7 weeks for a crown replacement. Latest appointment was at 9 'o' clock, which is a pain as I have to drive through rush hour traffic rather than using the bus. Ana was delayed due to an accident on the motorway (which is fine), however, nobody had checked that the replacement crown had been delivered. It hadn't due to nobody being available to receive it the day before. So Ana and I had both come in early for no reason. The crown was delivered that day so I was squeezed in at the end of the day for the fitting. As I said previously, the fees have gone up 16%, but I am having to wait longer to be treated. Interestingly, I wasn't invited to review my latest appointment but I am anyway as I think it needs to be done. 3 stars....

Always had good treatment here, not the cheapest but worth paying the extra for. Reception always efficient and give you reminders for your appointments. They have a dental plan scheme, which is worth taking out as spreads cost of check ups and gives 10% off any additional treatment.

An appointment at Ormond Terrace Dental practice is never traumatic. The welcome in reception sets a tone of friendly professionalism. A visit to Michael’s surgery involves a friendly chat before any examination takes place. If treatment is deemed to be necessary it is performed with skill and minimal fuss. A further post treatment discussion on any future work involves more friendly chat. The end result is that one always leaves with an enhanced smile, (actually and metaphorically)😁

Great first dental visit to Fiona, who is competent, reassuring and carefully assessed what needs doing in future. Very helpfully, she drew up a dental plan for me, which I really appreciate ! Very impressed.

Providing a very efficient and friendly service. The staff were excellent and knowledgeable, they took time to fully explain the procedure , the possible outcomes and the available options. I felt l was receiving the very best care.

I had an appointment with Michael Shipway for the repair of a chipped tooth. As always he was friendly, efficient and, above all, professional. Mr Shipway has been my dentist for many years and I can highly recommend him to others.
