I've just had a tooth removed (along with a deep clean) today at the Victoria Place branch of My Dentist in Carlisle. Before he started, the dentist explained everything about the procedure, putting me at ease before the tooth was painlessly removed & the deep cleaning carried out. I would definitely recommend this dentist's surgery for their friendliness, professionalism & courtesy.👍🏻.

Really disappointed with how this was handled. My last NHS appointment was cancelled by the practice during COVID and I was told they'd be in contact to rebook, which never happened. I wasn't informed I’d then been removed as a patient. I've thankfully not needed treatment since but when I called because of a broken filling I'm told I’m no longer registered as it’s been over two years since my last visit. I was in a lot of pain and pretty anxious, the receptionist was abrupt and not at all understanding - scoffing at me for thinking that I'd still be a patient. I was told the only option was to book privately, or ring for an emergency. I get that practices are under pressure, but being removed without any notice and then pushed towards private treatment when calling for urgent help felt humiliating because I simply can't afford it. A bit more clarity and basic empathy would have gone a long way. ------------------ Update: The response from MyDentist quotes NHS policy but fails to address the lack of communication about my removal as a patient or the dismissive and unprofessional way I was spoken to when calling in pain. This response does not reflect or acknowledge the actual experience described above.

Just excellent. What an amazing service. The organisation is fantastic, the skill and diligence of the team is top quality. My Dentist ‘Matthew’ delivered extraordinary results! The work was well thought through and extremely well planned with my involvement. The work was clearly of a high quality. I certainly never felt any pain. It is always a pleasure to see a person/team take clear pride in their work. If you want a diligent, professional, skilled Dentist you can have no doubt that this is the right place to seek care. Worth every penny. Thank you

Many thanks to Bo-Yao Yao. Today was the most positive experience to date at My Dentist, Victoria Place. A good clean (+ good advice) cleared up a problem (sensitivity) with a few teeth that have bothered me for a while.

I had a tooth extraction, yesterday. Bo-Yao Yao and the dental nurse were outstanding in their care and attention. The feeling of support started with the receptionist and the carried on through the treatment. Thank you.

Second to none absolutely perfect dentist in every way, would recommend to anyone great service, great staff both practitioners and receptionists can’t fault them at all
