University Dental Hospital

This is a stand out, star part of Cardiff University - the dental school, fully integrated with the hospital, is highly ranked globally. Standards of teaching and training are very high - there were no failures in the most recent final BDS degree examinations and all the dental specialties are represented. Appointments are well organised.

I’d just like to give a huge thank you to Beta and all the staff at the Cardiff Dental Hospital - both students and professors. They have provided exceptional care throughout my implant journey and I cannot thank them enough. Beta is so highly efficient and proactive, she has been truly super and I would like to make sure she is recognised for all the work she does for the practice. She is truly an asset to the hospital! It runs so smoothly because of her - thank you for everything!

Just wanted to give some verbal feedback for one of the members of staff, Ellie Smith. Truly a gem! The nicest dentist I’ve ever met and was so reassuring and kind. She constantly checked in with me and made me feel so comfortable and relax which I don’t think I’ve ever felt at a dentist. Hope she gets the recognition she thoroughly deserves! 🙂

Ive loved my time getting treatment from the student I was assigned. To watch her confidence grow has been rewarding, plus you get free treatment, and everything is always checked by supervisor

Reception staff are very rude and quick enough to take your appointment off you and cancel it !. When you then ask them to plan another appointment in they tell you the rota hasn't been done and they will get in touch. That was November last year and l am still waiting for a letter with a new appointment. If l cannot make an appointment l get in touch and do not leave it till the last minute but then Reception staff are very reluctant to give you a new one. PLEASE TAKE NOTE. Your letter states if you cannot keep the scheduled appointment get in touch abd we will schedule you a new one!. I am still waiting 7 months, disgusting!

Very Friendly and Professional and do great dental work

I was in agony with a tooth , and had no dentist surgery. I contacted uhw and was immediately given a appointment. The student that extracted my tooth was amazing , she kept me informed about everything. Was gentle and social. The NHS is absolutely brilliant , and I thank you so much for helping my pain today and promptly.
