The Village Dental Practice @ Longstanton

I am astounded at the previous review. My husband and I have been patients at this practice for many years and have always had kind, prompt and effective treatment. Monika is delightful and so very kind. She explains everything she is doing to your teeth during the treatment. We are both approaching 80 (as are our teeth!) and I am absolutely convinced that the reason we both still have our own teeth is down to the care we have received over the years from Longstanton Dental Practice. I should also state that we are NHS patients. I must add that I find it impossible to understand why a parent would give a snack to a 12 year old and then take him to a dentist without cleaning his teeth. Even a quick brush and some water to rinse whilst travelling to there would have been helpful & courteous.

Claire, the hygienist, is amazing. I have a real fear of dentists and anyone being near my teeth and Claire has always shown such patience and compassion. I would definitely recommend seeing Claire. I found Jodie was also very good with me. The reception staff have always been very friendly and welcoming.

Had a routine 6 month check up and Hygienist appt with Claire and Jodie all pain free 🙂 All staff are lovely with extra praise for Hannah (reception) And Nurses Eva and Molly.

Jodie, her assistant and the receptionist are absolutely fabulous. I suffer from anxiety and hadnt visited a dentist for a long time following an incident with another dentist but they have been so understanding throughout my treatments and it's almost become a pleasure to visit the dentist which 1 year ago seemed a distant dream. I can not recommend them highly enough. Genuinely lovely people who have your best interests at heart. Always friendly with a warm welcome and they have the ability to make you feel at easy.

Due to COVID uncertainty, and that I had not had any issues with my teeth I had not been to the dentist since before COVID started. I have been removed from the NHS register without the courtesy of an email or letter advising that my registration was at risk. I was advised today that I had a reminder for a check up by text in January 2021 - a time at which COVID was still producing 60,000 new cases per day! So why would you go to the dentist if you don’t need to? The receptionist advised me that I should have known about the NHS register removal as there is a notice ‘up in the surgery’ and ‘on their website’. What happened to good old fashioned communication?

After being in pain for over a year after a bodged deep filling in Spain, followed by several frustrating xrays with various UK dentists who failed to find the reason for my pain, I finally found this fabulous dentist who persuaded me against an extraction, I trusted them to open this tooth up again and to my amazement had the most gentle painless dentistry ever! I can't tell you how relieved and pleased I am.

Great service and friendly. I was visiting from overseas only to loose a filling , I went to the dentist on a cold call and managed to fit me into to the busy schedule. They carried out a full examination , replacement filling and appointment with the hygienist. The hygienist was great and made a great recommendation regarding pics. I would definitely recommend the business. Regards Steve D
