Our first experience with this Orthodontist. We were told that it was a fixed time slot appointment for 12.35pm. We arrived 10mins early. I was then handed a paper form that was a repetition of the online forms that we had been asked to fill out. The receptionist then popped out for lunch. We waited in a cramped waiting room (it’s the converted front room of a tiny bungalow) that smelt of stale body odour for another 35mins. The waiting room slowly emptied until there were two other parents with their children left. One parent said that they had been waiting for over an hour and the other parent agreed. When the receptionist came back I got up and told her we were leaving as we could not wait for that length of time in a busy work / school day before even being seen. What is the point of overbooking people if there is simply no capacity to see them in a reasonable time frame? I would have appreciated a text or phone call to delay our arrival or to reschedule. This lack of care and based on the other reviews I’ve just read has not given me great confidence and I will not be proceeding with this Orthodontist.

10/10 experience!! The staff are so accommodating and understanding! With a very scared daughter they have been nothing but kind and caring!! Have full information given and explained. Reception staff eg Debbie nothing but kind and helpful ☺️ . Next stop Braces being fitted for my daughter 🫣 Good Luck guys 😆

Professional service. PO have been flexible with appointments to fit around school/ other commitments and have been responsive to calls & messages left. PO always send a follow up email to confirm appointment details with any required information & appointment reminder texts a few days prior. My teen accidentally damaged their brace and PO were able to arrange a same day emergency appointment.

Extremely pleased with the service my daughter has received here! Dr Dawood and his Dental Nurse have been very professional and kind after my Daugther was unhappy with a colour. The team immediately changed them with no hesitation. Thank you

Time management is a big issue for this practice along with excessive timeframes for treatments to actually get the teeth alignment correct due to not providing sufficient check ups. Not adjusting bands at correct intervals, making patient's wait excessively for follow up appointments.

2.4 rating is about right.Communication very poor, very hard to understand. My grandson and myself endured his braces treatment for about 2 years plus. We would have gone somewhere else if we'd had a choice but would have had to start the treatment all over again. Final straw was the orthodontist & assistant both found it very amusing that my grandson who has special needs found it difficult to place retainers in his mouth. The retainers weren't even fitted properly. Treatment hasn't been finished because of this. Still, they get paid a ridiculous amount of money as orthodontists, so that's all that matters.

We were so pleased with the service and the results from Poole Orthodontics for our teenage son. All staff were professional, friendly and reassuring throughout. The results of the work on his teeth have been incredible.
