Bupa Dental Care Bishop Auckland

Excellent service. After ringing round lots of dentists for an emergency appointment this was the only surgery that triaged my need. The lovely reception staff rand back within a couple of hours to offer me a cancellation appointment. Upon arrival the receptionists were very friendly. The appointment was on time. Both the nurse and the dentist were fabulous. As an anxious patient I was checked upon frequently and everything explained. Thank you to all the staff for excellent friendly service.

Unfortunately I am one of those people who have a phobia of dentists and desperately required a filling. It’s my first treatment for 4years and without sedation. My treatment was done by Bupa’s Andrew Burgess. He was absolutely fantastic, brilliant dentist who explained to me what was happening and the different noises of the tools I would hear which made it less startling. I was completely pain free throughout the treatment. His dental nurse was also very reassuring, I would highly recommend. Thank you

Great dental surgery. My whole family go here and every person we’ve encountered has been wonderful. Reception team, nurses, dentists all very professional and caring. My son with additional needs very well looked after. Highly recommend.

Ignoring the root canal inconvenience ... what a great experience I had with Bupa Cockton Hill Rd and especially the interaction with Alice (reception) and David (dentist). I had a persistent deep toothache which had built over a week. Human beings answered the phone and listened to me; Alice referred to my notes and immediately understood what the issue was, tried to manage a short notice appointment, which wasn't immediately available but she phoned back within 2 hrs with an appointment the next day with David my regular dentist. David who I can't speak highly enough of relieved the pain and put together a treatment plan. I'm so grateful, thank you both, thankyou.

Me and my family have been using this surgery for over 25 years, due to issues out of my control, a couple of appointments i’ve had to cancel and reschedule but made to feel like a naughty child for doing so! The customer service (from Nicola the receptionist) on the telephone has been close to appalling! Absolutely zero understanding or care and could not give me any evidence as to why i’m on my ‘last warning’ with the practice. I believe she really needs some further training in customer service, there is certain ways to speak to clients and that certainly isn’t it. This has lead me to removing my self from the practice and paying for private but good healthcare with a different dentist/team.

I've been attending the practice in Bishop for about the last 20yrs. Prior to that I didn't see anyone for a long time as I had developed a crippling fear due to some bad treatment elsewhere. David and the team in Bishop have been wonderfully understanding and it's hard to believe I can now say I (almost) look forward to each visit. The front of house team are amazingly cheerful and professional, and my dentist David has managed to turn my fear around, which I'd honesty thought was impossible . I owe them all a great debt and wholeheartedly recommend them.
