I had my 2nd appointment with Dr Georgina Gwynne a few weeks ago and was very impressed. The entire team was welcoming and professional from the moment I arrived. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the appointment. The dental nurse Leigh was organized, friendly and reassured me during my appointment. For someone who doesn’t particularly enjoy dental visits, I appreciated how gentle and reassuring the experience was. I would happily recommend this practice to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and caring dentist.

I had my first hygienist appointment with Sarah today and had a great experience. She immediately put me at ease and was friendly and professional throughout. All of the staff were kind and welcoming, and the practice itself is lovely inside. I would highly recommend.

Hands down the best Dentist in Basingstoke. It is clean, spacious, welcoming and everyone is very friendly. I have been a patient here for a few years now, and as someone who is terrified of the dentist, I have always found my checkups and hygienist appointments comfortable and have never had pain whilst here. Georgina is incredibly patient and understanding and will always put me at ease. I would recommend her to anyone.

A few months ago I had a root canal done at this practice by Dr Gwynne. Since then, I’ve moved and registered with a new dentist, where I explained my dental history. After looking at the work, I was told the quality of the root canal wasn’t great and that I now need to see a root canal specialist to have it redone. This was pretty frustrating, as seeing a specialist was never offered to me in the first place. If it had been, I would have taken that option. At my new practice, I’ve since had white fillings done under a rubber dam, and my dentist explained the process and said this is something I should already be familiar with after having a root canal at a private practice. She was genuinely shocked that my previous root canal wasn’t done this way. She explained that root canal treatment involves bleach and small files and should always be carried out with this rubber sheet for safety reasons, as swallowing anything could be dangerous. As a patient, I had no way of knowing this at the time, which is why I’m leaving this review — just to make others aware and encourage people to ask questions. We’re paying for private dentistry, and I was told this wasn’t considered a private standard of care. Overall, I’m disappointed that I wasn’t given all the options upfront, and now I’m having to pay twice to fix something that should have been done properly the first time.

Couldn’t recommend this place more, Lily and Freya did a fantastic job fixing up my poor root canal. If you’re terrified of NHS dental and their tricks and looking for a great dental surgery, look no further. Nice, clean place, friendly service, very attentive staff, nice atmosphere. Lily explained every step, was very informative and gentle. Freya assisted wonderfully. Both very professional and friendly. Highly recommend!

Georgina and the team at Gwynne dental are absolutely wonderful. Not only is the work they do of great quality but the friendliness, care and advice is amazing. I have been a patient for years and following some difficult problems recently I was given really helpful options and advice. I am delighted with the outcome. I now live over 50 miles away but I am not changing to a local surgery. Georgina and Sarah are worth travelling for! I would definitely recommend Gwynne Dental.

Georgina and the team are FANTASTIC! From booking and communication prior to the appointment, to the warm welcome at check in and expert attention during check ups and procedures.... the experience is absolutely first class! The detailed explanations and written estimates provide clarity on any work to be carried out leaving you feel confident and assured. As a patient I feel incredibly valued and now really quite look forward to going to the dentist. Any time I have had work carried out, I can honestly say I have had no pain or discomfort even after the anesthetic has worn off - my teeth are now in tip top condition thanks to everything that Gwynne Dental have done for me. If I could give more than 5 starts I would!!! Thank you to everyone and keep up the excellent work 🙂
