Lindsay is a great dentist very kind and puts you at ease. Things have improved greatly at the practice in recent years as they have a practice manager and full time receptionist now and everything seems to be a lot more efficient. They also have a system that texts you in the event a cancellation appointment comes available this worked very well for me and I was able to get in sooner.

Worst dental experience ever. Daughter had to wait a while for treatment on a tooth that was giving her alot of pain, morning of the appointment they cancelled with 2 hours notice rescheduled for the next day to then be told the person who could do the treatment wasn't in on that date and she was to wait another month for the treatment. Explained on the phone to the "manager" how much pain she was in, and I use that term "manager" loosely because he couldn't manage a conversation after I asked if he felt he was fulfilling his duty of care without him hanging up the phone. Went into the practice to speak to them as I needed to see if she could get in any quicker to be told by Russell that "I don't decide what treatment she gets the dentist does" and told she would be getting fillings and have to wait for the painful tooth to be sorted afterwards. Ombudsman will be contacted about this "manager" and I hope no on else experiences this same type of neglect from this practice.

Horrendous experience. Total lack of customer care and respect. Terrible dental pain after being given substandard first root canal treatment (which was not urgent and I was in no pain before) I was only informed AFTER she had drilled and put in a temporary filling that she was waiting on a part and could not complete treatment or tell me when it would be done (11 weeks wait for next available appointment according to phone call the next day- temp fillings in molars are not supposed to be left over 4 weeks. In pain immediately which became terrible due to shoddy temp filling not protecting nerves. When I enquired when my appointment would be and questioned the 11week wait, I was dismissed and contradicted by their rude and unprofessional senior receptionist. Felt as if I was an annoyance. When I complained, I got a one-line email telling me it will go through their complaints procedure. No care at all. No asking if I was ok, no explanation as to why she went ahead with treatment KNOWING she would not complete it. I then had to go private to get proper treatment as did not trust this dentist to care for me properly and could not find any other NHS dentists available. Private dentist had to redo whole job (such a different experience!) I have no nerve pain now (even though now utterly broke). This surgery looks great on website but has obviously gone severely downhill. Be wary.

This people are the most arrogant possible. They don't give a damn about if you are in pain or not. Then you phone and they make fun of you. 25/02/2026 Going to make a complain with Nhs Scotland and Dental Complaints Service. Made a review 7 months ago. Came back today and the way they treat my wife was unacceptable.

I was without a dentist for 6 years, me ,my wife and 3 children. Finally managed to get registered with these guys and wow. A fantastic friendly professional team . Due to be without a dentist so long we needed extensive work, and today it was completed. Not one bit of pain during the process and the whole experience was fantastic with great results. Thanks so much.

Absolutely shocked at their customer care! I had been a patient at this dentist for over ten years and even signed my two children up here. I had an appointment and when I called to cancel (something important came up for my toddler) I called to apologise and cancel. The receptionist was extremely rude and said well you have to pay a cancellation fee which was ridiculously high. I asked if he could wave it as it was close to Christmas and finances were tight and he said no way. I asked if he had the authority to wave it and he said yes but I won't. Having never missed an appointment, and been a patient for 10+ years surely that counted. I was very upset and wrote a letter to Lydnsey to explain what had happened, I had always known her to be kind and surely she wouldn't want to see her patients treated in such a way. I received a rubbish generic letter back that turned the tables on me saying they wouldn't tolerate their staff being mistreated and the cancellation was final. Safe to say I have moved me and all of the family to the sandgate dental practice. A family member is with them and when they had to cancel was told they have a cancellation policy but will let it go as they too had an emergency. Its a shame that loyal isn't counted for anything and I would think twice before signing up as a patient, it's worth waiting with a practice that has a short waiting list.
