Steer clear of this dental practice. In my experience, the care I received was extremely poor. The dentist was rude and dismissive, and there was no reassurance or patience when I was nervous about an injection. Several dental issues were missed or not properly treated. For example, I was told a crumbling front tooth was fine, but another dentist later confirmed it was decayed and required treatment. I requested an X-ray, and it was offered reluctantly. Many fillings that were done here had to be redone because I was left in pain, and one tooth eventually cracked and needed a root canal. When I sought private treatment elsewhere, the difference in care was significant: all previous fillings were redone and additional decay that had been missed was treated. In my experience, the appointments felt rushed and the standard of care showed a lack of diligence and attention to detail. While this practice accepts NHS patients, I would strongly recommend finding a different dentist to avoid poor treatment and additional procedures.

Had an emergency tooth extraction done here. Saw a male dentist who was very polite. The extraction went well with no fuss. The Assistant was friendly and polite. Receptionist was also very polite and friendly. In all it was a good experience.

I have been a patient for several years, I have always found them very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. They have always fitted me in when I've had an emergency and not left me in pain. Always left very satisfied after every visit. The dentist and staff are very welcoming and importantly all area are spotlessly clean. I definitely would not go anywhere else. A very BIG THANK YOU.

Have had an appointment cancelled 3 times by this practice before actually ever seeing me. They cancelled either 1 day before appointment or on the day. Absolute joke of a practice.

Great dentist! Very pleased with the denture Dr Gupta made for me. I went on holiday so couldn't write sooner. She saved my holiday. She took some of my loose teeth out and then gave me a denture. I was nervous about needle but I didn’t feel a thing. Very gentle and skilled dentist. Love my smile! Keep up the good work, Newport Smile Centre.

Avoid! Especially if you are uneasy with dentists. The dentist I saw had no social skills. She was cold and not friendly. The dentist quoted me £180 for 'cosmetic work' yet I have just had the same work (and more) done for only £60 at a different dentist as it was 'needed work'. The dentist tried to say I did not pay for treatment previously then at reception they 'found' the money in my account, so that appointment was just wasted which i still had to pay for even though the treatment was not carried out that i was originally there for. They care more about the money than your teeth. I needed work done and they didn't bother to follow up with this or ask about it. While my new dentist is very friendly, pays attention to detail and set up a treatment / care plan on day 1! The difference in care is crazy! Avoid this dentist at all cost!

I've had numerous treatments/work done here and have never been disappointed. Very happy with the service I get.
