Background first. I am 71 years old, an ex smoker with a history of poor dental health. I reached a stage where many of my teeth were so poor that I had difficulty eating. Luckily I am not vain but the gaps were becoming so extensive that I looked a sorry sight. Despite my advancing years I decided to invest in my teeth. I undertook a consultation with Vinny Vaithianathan at Cox and Hitchcock, who was highly recommended by a friend. The process was long , a year plus, and financially not insignificant BUT, this was the best decision I have made since my retirement a good few years ago. At every stage Vinny and his excellent dental assistants were awesome. Whilst my modelling days are behind me, I am now able to eat comfortably and am no longer self conscious about my facial appearance. I had dental implants over 10 years ago with a company in Cardiff. Ive recently become a patient at Cox and Hitchcock, as I have gum disease which was impacting my implants. I had my first appointment with Vinny, he asked lots of questions around, poor sleep, morning headaches, neck ache - didnt really think much about my teeth causing these issues. Over a few appointments Vinny magically performed a realignment. This has improved my sleep, I no longer suffer with morning headaches or neck ache. I also had deep cleans and laser treatment with Gabby which has made a huge improvement to the gum disease. Amazing results, really proffesional but also personal. I have a fear of dentists, they put me at ease and explained the treatment step by step.

I came in to have my wisdom tooth removed and to get my lower back tooth grinded because my TMJ pain had gotten really bad, especially in my jaw and neck. I’m really grateful to Vinny, he made a big difference and my jaw feels much more stable now, with a lot less discomfort in my neck. The staff are also really friendly, which made the whole experience a lot easier!

I have had a white filling done, and I didn't ask but one of my tooth was polished. The filling seems good so far, but I can't touch the polished tooth with a super soft bristle brush. It's very painful. The dentist could have been KINDER. I went to the dental practice with no pain (I just needed to fix a filling.) and had a painful experience that will probably last 😭. In almost 50 years I have never had a dental experience as painful as this.

Hi. Please cancel my appointment for 08.30 on 7th April 2026 with C C-priest. Its to check a partial denture which is fine. I tried to call several times but after 30 mins waiting I tried to email but that is unmanned as well. Thanks, AW.

Amazing staff and amazing composite bonding process! Changed my smile and grew my confidence in such a short procedure. Pricing was actually really good and you get 12 months guarantee on the new teeth, I did suffer a chip within a few weeks and had it fixed straight away free of charge. That tooth has been strong as ever since and the rest of the teeth are holding up lovely so far! Really would recommend getting a smile makeover with Josh.

I am a patient at llanthewy road I have an emergency, which is an abscess from my eye to my jaw, yet because I don't pay, they won't see me. Totally disgusting I am in so much agony, but its ok I'll find a more competent caring g dentist, because clearly they must of looked at the area I was from. Palm me off to the NHS like I've never paid my taxes, and am not a patient. I've noticed over the years they only want a certain type of clientele, fact.
