Been a patient here for a few years. The staff are really helpful and friendly and my dentist Dr Tom Metselaar is possibly the most gentle dentist I’ve seen. I’ve had extensive work done, root canal, crown, several fillings replaced, whitening and composite bonding and couldn’t be happier. Recommended

This was my first appointment with Dentistry For You. The staff were friendly and professional, The Receptionist took my name and offered me a seat. I did not have to wait long before I was invited into a room by Tom, who was one of the Dentistry Team. Tom introduced himself to me as well as his assistant. Tom did a Preliminary examination of my teeth and called off various numbers which were recorded by his Assistant, then two Xrays were taken of my teeth. Tom identified some damage to my gums and agreed that this work could be done immediately, if I was in agreement. A price was quoted since I was not in receipt of Pension Credit. I agreed to pay the price Tom quoted. The work (a mask) over my teeth was swiftly undertaken and it was decided that I should make another appointment for the following year. Tom had no other issues with my teeth and commented that I keep good teeth hygiene.

I wasn't going to leave a review until I saw others were having poor experiences here, so I thought I'd share mine. I've been going through an ADHD diagnosis for a few years now, and I'm still waiting. This is relevant because I struggle to maintain routines and am easily distracted from brushing my teeth every morning and night. I was completely honest about this and explained my difficulties. I was recommended a specific mouthwash (which I hate), but I bought it and use it when I remember. I also bought a water flosser, so when I remember, I do my best to look after my teeth. I informed my dentist of all of this. To her, this was not good enough, and she refused to refer me to the hygienist because I was a "non-compliant patient". However, she was happy for me to come back every three months and told me I could see the hygienist when I get medicated for my ADHD, which is an appalling thing to say. This didn't sit right with me, so I did my own research and found that the hygienist is exactly who I need to see to help me stay on top of my dental hygiene, where I personally struggle. I also discovered that what she was doing was discriminatory. So, in conclusion, if you're not neurotypical, you may be dismissed and lied to by this practice. I suggest going elsewhere, as I did.

They were able to see me at short notice after a problem developed over the xmas period. I'm a nervous patient, and hadn't been to a dental appointment wince before Covid, but they made me feel at ease, and the treatment was quick, reassuring and very easy for me. Highly recommended.

Fantastic the receptionists and dentist were very professional, friendly, kind, helpful and caring. Having had some seriously appalling dental experiences in the past I can honestly say this was the best dental experience and treatment I've ever had! Thank you, I count myself very fortunate to have found and been accepted to the practice 😀
