Burnham House Dental Practice - Burnham on Sea

My first appointment with Anca, having switched from Natasha who has left the surgery. She and her assistant were very friendly and made me feel relaxed from the outset. I was given an examination, x-ray and clean, plus helpful information about oral care. I was very pleased with the service I received and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this dental practice.

Receptionist is always very welcoming and nothing it to much trouble. My dentist is amazing. He explains everything fully and makes you feel very calm and relaxed. Very happy with my experience/ treatment ☺️

Wonderful visit today. Reception staff are very friendly and put you at ease on arrival. Anca and her lovely assistant are both friendly and professional, they definitely make dental visits more enjoyable compared to other practices. My dentist is always gentle and thorough. She is very skilful and knowledgeable. The reception staff and nurses are also always friendly, accommodating and patient. The premises are not prepossessing from outside but inside they are spacious, clean, clinical and smart. Been attending for eight years and have never had a problem.

Went in today for my second extraction here and it was all out and done in 5 minutes with Waifa! She really is brilliant at getting things done so impressed with her! She always makes me feel at ease and comfortable too

Really nice, polite staff and a pleasant practice. Paid around £75 for an exam and X-rays and was told I have exposed gums causing nerve sensitivity (not a hygiene issue). Options mentioned were a gum graft or a filling, but there was no clear plan or next step. I’m still in pain and the only way forward seemed to be paying another £135 to see another dentist, which pushes this towards £200 just to start getting answers. Friendly, but I don’t feel any closer to getting the problem fixed.

While the clinical care from my dentist and assistants was of good standard (thank you), I am quite disappointed by the problems in timely access at this practice, combined with the lack of explanation on how to escalate an interim problem during a wait for treatment, and how that has resulted in a significantly more expensive treatment. This was exacerbated by a complaints process which from my perspective lacked any evidence of empathy or goodwill and defensively avoided my main concern. How can I know that I am both able to, and should, escalate a problem, if not advised I can do so, particularly when the gap pending treatment was significant, but advised as the first opportunity. It seems we must agree to disagree on this occasion but I’ll certainly be more insistent now I know the process.
