Bupa Dental Care Hollway Road

I wouldn't usually post a negative review but feel I need to now. I am an NHS patient and never had problems until the last 3-4 check-ups. My dentist, Ruxandra Boboc, never runs on time. I accept that some patients need a longer appointment and she may run over but yesterday I was left waiting for half an hour over my scheduled appointment. I had no explanation or apology, she was still taking x-rays when I left. I have even tried having the very first appointment of the day but on that occasion she turned up 15 minutes late with no apology. I have family members who are private patients at this practice and they do not experience these problems. Please realise we have jobs too and we take valuable time off to attend our appointments. I must end by saying that Sophie the Hygenist is fabulous. Never late and always lovely. Why should we be forced to pay private just to get good service?

Jake West is a fantastic dentist who gives genuine, helpful advice and provides high quality work. The desk staff and assistants are also always very friendly.

After many years at being at this practice it's time to leave as since 2020 I can only go by my experience before then had no complaints great service etc and heather Maynard the hygienist is excellent as have been the dentists I seen at that time,But my last few experiences of being a NHS patient with the dentist as been shoddy,last minute cancellations on the same day as happened a few times just telling me to re book when I've taken the day off work,A quick 5 minutes check and not to seem interested,having to ask 3 times as I needed X rays and one was a emergency appointment were I got told by the dentist to put some sensitive toothpaste on it?and told the x ray machine was not working eventually having to see the manager to get a x-ray to be told I had a abscessed tooth then told that NHS dentist was leaving it seems not many seem to stay and last check up was done quickly like I said previously in the past I couldn't fault this dentist but since the changes in the NHS services I feel the service as gone downhill and to me doesn't see much point going to a dentist that you have lost all trust with I work myself for the NHS and I know things are difficult but whether your a private patient or NHS patient we all deserve empathy and trust and care...

Again been to this practice for a maintenance hygiene appointment with Sophie Baker. My periodontal disease has only ever been stable since seeing Sophie regularly at bupa. I love this practice as all support staff are friendly and the practice is extremely clean. Highly recommend this practice and Sophie.

Every time I attend an appointment it is a different dentist who seems to be a trainee. The check up literally lasted no longer than 2 minutes at the most, no explanation of the treatment recommended or how it will work and no x- rays as apparently they're not needed, even though I attended a year and 4 months ago.

They really put a smile on your face! Lovely and kind staff, always happy to help and to give you the best advice!

was really impressed Jake West he was very good with my mum who is 90 and she was nervous he made sure she was ok . The staff were also very friendly and helpful, creating a comfortable and reassuring environment.
