Dr Nik Gogna

Nik and I discussed a treatment plan and we decided to try the lingual braces, this was a very different experience, and had its advantages and disadvantages, everything was clearly explained before the treatment began. Nik was fantastic through out the whole journey of the treatment and always made sure I was happy with each step of action planned. Nik reassured me that if I wasn’t happy with the result after completing the lingual treatment, he would fix a brace to the teeth to make sure they were perfect, and so we did. Scans were done regularly and retainers were ordered quickly when needed. I can’t thank him and his nurses enough for their determination and most of all patience through this journey! I have recently finished Invisalign treatment with Dr Nik and I am absolutely thrilled with the results. Dr Nik has been incredible throughout the whole process, which took just over a year from start to finish, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. He immediately put me at ease the first time we met, he really listened to what I wanted and he could not have been any more accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble for Dr Nik, and when a particularly stubborn tooth was refusing to move, Dr Nik came up with an ingenious solution of a partial fixed bracket together with the invisalign which finally did the trick and gave me the results I had hoped for. After so many years of being unhappy with my teeth I am so pleased I finally had invisalign treatment, but it was the care and attention of Dr Nik who really created the results. Nik is a fantastic orthodontist and an all round great guy. He conveys all of the processes, technical work etc in an easy to digest way that is easily understood. Care and attention to detail is second to none. My 14 year old daughter Chloe who wants to be a dentist struck up a great friendship with Nik. She always left each appointment more pleased than the previous. He is such a genuinely nice person and professional at the same time and I think that is reflected by yet another 5 star review. Dr Nik’s care, consideration and friendly attitude made me love my smile! After having prolonged difficult experiences at a younger age in the dentist, I had lost faith in the dental and orthodontic practice that there was a lack of thought of the person behind the smile. Dr Nik completely changed that perception from day one, he made an effort to ask about my work and to put me at ease during my sessions getting my brace tightened. He took over as my orthodontist at Carmarthen in the final stages of my treatment, and I’m glad he did as he took extra measures to align my front two teeth as smoothly as possible. During my last appointment when I got my braces off, I remember that Dr Nik asked me ‘what can we do to make you as happy as possible with your smile’. After years of being self conscious of my smile, this meant a lot to me and his extra efforts really have changed my life and perception of myself in a huge way. He also persevered to fix the back wire on the front teeth so that it was completely in place and doesn’t interfere with my everyday routines. As an older patient, the flexibility was helpful for me and all of the staff at the practice were accommodating of booking appointments around my job.

Nik saw my daughter who needed top and bottom fixed braces. He has been fantastic, in 9 mths her smile has been transformed and her confidence boosted. The investment was worthwhile in our view. Nik's advice, care and treatment has been extremely good - he is always upbeat, positive and supportive in his treatment. I would highly recommend him to others.

I can’t praise Nick enough during the whole process of having braces. I was always aware of what the plan was and put me at ease with any queries. And I’m am absolutely over the moon with the end result after 2 years. I wish Nick all the best in his new role, he really has changed my life. Thank you!

I would say I was relatively nervous before having any orthodontic treatment performed however from my very first appointment Nik really made me feel at ease. He explained everything very clearly and concisely in a way that I understood and has continued to do so throughout my treatment. Every appointment is a joy and there's never a dull moment, it has been an absolute pleasure having Nik as my orthodontist and I would very much recommend him!
