Family Dental Practice

After years (around 30 years) of being petrified of visiting the dentist and having to have conscious sedation for any procedures I am relieved to have found this practice and more importantly Mr Vikash Patel. Not only is he professional, but kind caring and compassionate. I had to be pealed off the wall and put into the seat on my first visit but due to the care and patience taken I am now keen to attend and have been able to keep on top of my dental hygiene with regular visits. I cannot recommend this practice and staff enough.

I called to book an appointment and unfortunately was told that they don’t have available dentists at the moment for the next weeks, even months.

As a dentist phobic it took a problem with my teeth to source another dentist locally as I had become persona non grata at my previous one for not attending for more then three years! What they omitted to think about was the genuine fear I have of dentistry. Having contacted people for recommendations including nhs direct I ended up going to the nearest one to my home. I saw Mr Vikash Patel BDS for the first time last week and found him to be professional charming and kind, accepting my fear. He talked me through everything he was going to do in ‘real time’ and was constantly reassuring. Today I had my follow up appointment and the dreaded treatment which wasn’t easy for him either as I was petrified and moved on the odd occasion. I was 45 minutes in the chair and during that time he constantly reassured and asked if I was okay. He did a great job! I am so grateful to him and the dental nurse assisting, as they worked as a team, with him calmly setting direction. They deserve praise and I highly recommend them to people locally. Thank you Mr Patel I did not hesitate to book my 6 month check up on my way out.

I have been going to the family dental practice for over 20 years. I had my braces done here when I was in my teens. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Friendly, reliable and make you feel comfortable.

Very nice staff and helpful dentist, easily the best dentist I’ve visited in many years, and very patient friendly.
